[Also in Division H2] In a magnetic coupling comprising longitudinally reciprocable driving and drivers members 4, 6 mutually insulated by a fluidtight separating partition 5, the driving member 4 has a device e.g. a winding 26 or a permanent magnet 28 producing a coupling magnetic flax and has formed on its surface facing the partitions a plurality of polar protrusions 16 .. 18, 22 .. 24 separated by gaps 19, 21, 25, 26 which channel therein the flux, the driver member 6 also has formed on its surface forming the partition protrusions 31.. 33, 36..38 of the same shape and dispositions as those of the driving member and the partitions comprises started magnetic members 43 mutually separated by intermediate insulating non-magnetic layers 44. As shown, the members 4 .. 6 and hence the protrusions are annular and used in conveying drive from a crankshaft, eccentric, or piston cylinder unit to a stirrer enclosed by a wall 1. The winding 26 is supplied with direct or rectified current and permanent magnet 42 may also be provided on the driven member.
