Abstract

1,210,542. Vacuum switches. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 28 April, 1969 [29 April, 1968], No. 20208/68. Heading H1N. A short vacuum switch particularly suitable for mounting in series with others has, located outside the evacuated envelope, a welded plate bellows 29 which allows a contact movement almost equal to its extended length. One or more plates 29A, B of the bellows may have greater stiffness such that they are not normally deformed by operation of the switch but may be used to adjust the contacts when they have been eroded.
