1,209,573. Electric couplings; junction boxes. QUANTE VERMOGENSVERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 13 March, 1969 [10 Oct., 1968], No. 13228/69. Heading H2E. A junction box comprises an internal chamber 13 sealed by a cover 13<SP>1</SP>, into which a cable is led, the screen of the cable being connected to earth terminals 4 via a strip 1 and a clamp 2, the cores of the cable being plugged, wrapped, soldered or screw-damped to ends 6 of terminals 7. Lead-out wires are similarly connected to ends 8 of terminals 7, slotted and of rectangular cross-section. A milled screw (10) (Fig. 2, not shown) secures a base-plate (11) to the outer cover 9, between which a sealing strip may be interposed. Base-plate (11) secures and supports chamber 13, of plastics, by an angled metal piece 14.
