Abstract

1,208,140. Releasable fastening devices. AMERICAN VELORO Inc. 11 Dec., 1967, No. 56193/67. Heading E2S. A fastening device for releasably securing an instrument or like member to a supporting surface defined by a plurality of hooking elements, comprises an essentially cylindrical, resilient adaptor fitting around said member and provided with a tape comprising engageable hooking elements 18. The adaptor 3, Figs. 2-6 (not shown) is provided with a longitudinal slit (16) to facilitate spring clamping on the said member. The hooking elements of the supporting surface 10 may be on an adhesively secured fabric tape 12.
