Abstract

[Also in Division G4] A valve for use as a logic unit comprises three rigidly coupled diaphragms 3, 4, 5, Fig. 1, which together with two partitions 6, 7 divide a chamber into six compartments, each having its own entry port. The compartments on either side of the central diaphragm can be isolated by arranging either that the central diaphragm acts as a valve closure member with both of the partitions 6, 7 or that the upper and lower diaphragms act as valve closure members with the upper and lower partitions respectively (as in Fig. 2, not shown).
