[Also in Division C7] An organic dispersion suitable for preventing corrosion of metals comprises water, a long chain aliphtic amine, and a stabilising agent for said amine, 'the agent having the formula wherein the sum of x and y is 15-20, z is an integer from 2 to 4, and X<SP>-</SP> is Cl-, Br<SP>-</SP>, F<SP>-</SP>, OH- or NO 3 <SP>-</SP>. The composition may be an aqueous concentrate containing 5-15 wt. % of amine, preferably octadecyl amine, and 1-5% of stabilizing agent, preferably N- phenylstearyl-1,3-propylene diamine quaternary dichloride.
