Abstract

1,207,502. Kettles. BULPITT & SONS Ltd. 31 Jan., 1968 [31 Jan, 1967; 7 March, 1967], Nos. 4606/67 and 10638/67. Heading A4A. A lidless kettle 10 is fitted with a baffle plate 21 which lies wholly across the spout opening 18 of the body and overlies the marginal portion of the body surface at the opening, the interior of the body being open to the spout solely at the edge of the baffle plate. The baffle plate 21 may comprise a stepped portion 23 which contains an aperture 34 through which a minimum level indication 36 may be viewed. A maximum level indication 37 may be provided as shown. The plate is retained in position by being sprung behind bosses 16 and 28. The kettle may contain a heating element.
