Abstract

Shuttles.-Weft cops are formed in ring spinning-frames or mules upon tubes 6 provided at the lower end with projections or recesses to enable them to be secured in the loom shuttles. The tube 6 may have flat shoulders 11 projecting slightly above its surface, or grooves turned in its surface, or be provided with a metal sleeve with shoulders. The shuttle is provided with a double-jawed spring clip 12 shaped to correspond with the lower end of the tube to be secured therein.
