Abstract

1,207,183. Polyurethane foams. ELASTOMER A.G. 4 Oct., 1967 [6 Dec., 1966], No. 45230/67. Headings C3C and C3R. Cellular polyurethanes are prepared by reacting a substantially linear hydroxylpolycaprolactone of M.W. at least 1750 with a stoichiometric excess of diphenylmethane-4,4<SP>1</SP>-diisocyanate or naphthylene- 1 ,5-diisocyanate, and thereafter cross-linking the adduct with water or with a combination of water and a glycol or a triol having a M.W. below 500. A hexane triol is preferably used as the triol in the crosslinking agent combination.
