Abstract
1,207,073. Tone control circuits. GRUNDIG E.M.V. ELEKTRO - MECHANISCHE VERSUCHSANSTALT INH MAX GRUNDIG. 13 March, 1969 [13 March, 1968], No. 13232/69. Heading H3W. A tone control arrangement comprises two resistors 3, 4 connected in series across input terminals 1, 2 and with their common point 5 connected to the output terminal 5. Also connected across input terminals 1, 2 is the series combination of capacitor 6, inductor 7, the resistance element of a potentiometer 9, and capacitor 13. The slider of the potentiometer 9 is connected via inductor 8 to the output terminal 5. The inductors 7, 8 are preferably wound on the same core. The arrangement provides for increase or decrease of the response over a range of frequencies (Fig. 2, not shown), and the second series network may be shunted by further similar networks controlling the response over further frequency bands.
