Abstract
120,524. Davis, C. T. Nov. 28, 1917, [Convention date]. Capsules. -An ampoule for containing and applying medicaments comprises a sealed glass tube A having a neck a with a weakened breakage line a<1>. It is enclosed in a flat-bottomed casing b, of wood &c., formed in two parts such that the upper part b<1>, after being raised free from the lower part, may serve as a means for breaking the ampoule in two. Inside the ampoule is carried a device for applying the medicament consisting of a wood splint c with a swab head c'. The splint may be coated with paraffin to restrict capillary action.
