Abstract

1,204,815. Extraction apparatus. F. C. SCHAFFER. 29 Oct., 1968, No. 51324/68. Heading B1Q. Solids are fed to conveyor 10 by chute 21 and is extracted by a liquid fed in at 28. The liquid passes through the solids and the foraminous conveyor 10 to the reservoir 23. Liquid then passes through distributing tubes 25 to next section of the conveyor and to the next lower reservoir 23. The liquid is finally removed by pump 35. In an alternative apparatus (Fig. 3 not shown) the foraminous support is fixed and the solids are moved by a flight conveyor.
