120,397. Popper, I. C. Nov. 2, 1917, [Converation date]. Cooking-stoves. - A portable cooking - apparatus consists of several parts which, when not required for use, can be nested one within the other and secured externally. The part 1, in the centre of which a spirit or other heating device 3 can be put, has a closed bottom, air openings in its side, and a beaded top edge a with an offset 4. Upon this offset rests the beaded edge 5 of a rim 2, Fig. 3, having openings 7 for the escape of the products of combustion, and a second beaded but inturned edge b. Above this rim are three pans 8, 9, 10, of which 8 and 9 are deep and 10 is shallow. They are each provided with a beaded edge b. The deep pans have offsets 11, 12, and 13, and the shallow one has external loops 15 and an offset 14. Fig. 3 shows the arrangement in use. When not in use, the parts may be nested as shown in Fig. 1, the part 10 forming a cover which embraces at least two of the beaded edges, and a strap 16 is passed around the whole and through the loops 15 to secure the parts together. Knives, forks &c. may be placed in the space surrounding the burner 3.
