Abstract
1,203,062. Dynamoelectric machine winding conductors. ALLMANNA SVENSAK ELEKTRISKA AB. 3 Oct., 1967 [4 Oct., 1966], No. 44985/67. Heading H2A. In a rotary electrical machine stranded tworank liquid-cooled winding conductor having each rank composed of first and second parts of substantially equal width and shaped in the manner of a Roebel transposition to alternate along their length between right- and left-hand sides of the conductor, each first part 2 is solid, whereas each second part comprises at least one cooling tube 5 of a material, e.g. stainless steel, of greater mechanical strength than that, e.g. Cu, of the first part, and at least one solid strand 4 arranged beside and of substantially the same height as the tube(s). In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the second part comprises two strands (4a), (4b), one on each side of the tube 5; or the first part 2 may have a smaller radial thickness than that of the second part 4, 5. The conductor may be in the slots of a stator.
