Abstract

1,202,178. Transferring trays between endless conveyers. APPARATENBOUW MOBA N.V. 1 April, 1969 [8 April, 1968], No. 16900/69. Heading B8A. A tray stacking apparatus includes a conveyer belt 1 with members 3 supporting eggtrays 4 which, on reaching the output end of the belt, are received, in turn, by a carrier member 6, Fig. 1, on an L-shaped lever 5 pivoted at 7 and actuated by a cam 9 whereby the member 6 engages the underside of each tray and swings the leading portion of the tray upwardly, Fig. 2, and frees the tray from the belt. The swinging movement of the tray is stopped by a stop member 24 at the end of a bent lever 22 pivoted at 23 and engaged by a cam 20. The tray then falls inverted on to a flap 12 pivoted at 13 and reciprocated by a cam 18 via a linkage 14-16. The lower end of the tray is received on a plate 36 recessed for the passage of partitions 26 carried on a transport belt 25 driven intermittently through distances equal to that between succeeding partitions, and is driven automatically when a predetermined number of trays have been received by the carrier member. The cams 9, 18 and 20 are driven in synchronism with the belt 1 such that they turn through one revolution during the time the belt covers the distance between two succeeding members 3.
