Abstract

1,201,449. Pipe joints. TUBULAR STRUCTURES CORP. 3 April, 1969 [3 April, 1968], No. 17545/69. Heading F2G. [Also in Division F1] A joint structure, e.g. for a pump for concrete, comprises conduit means 24, 26 hinged to a housing 20 provided with a valve controlling the passageways 28, 30 therethrough, the end openings in the conduit means and housing being brought together to provide continuous passageways; the conduit means and housing are swung relatively about the hinge to open the joint between them. As shown, the manifold is locked in the closed position by wedge locks 70 and a conduit 22 is hinged to the manifold and secured in a similar manner.
