1,200,940. Enduracidin preparations. TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO K.K. 17 Nov., 1967 [19 Nov., 1966], No. 52444/67. Heading A5B. Aqueous enduracidin preparations having a pH between 3.5 and 8.0 comprise the antibiotic and, as solubilising agent, one or more of: a) a water-soluble non-ionic surfactant having a polyoxyethylene or polyoxypropylene chain in its molecule, b) a glycerol acetate and, c) glycerol α,α'-diethyl ether. A, C 5 or C 6 polyhydric alcohol, e.g. inositol or a hexitol or pentitol, may also be included. Specified solubilising agents are polyoxyethylene-sorbitan monooleate, -castor oil andhydrogenated castor oil; glycerol mono- and di-acetate, glycerol monostearate and glycerol α,α'-diethyl ether. Conventional excipients including preservatives and local anaesthetics may be present.
