Abstract

1,200,751. Transfer sheets. TOPPAN PRINTING CO. Ltd. 13 June, 1967 [15 June, 1966], No. 27207/67. Heading B6C. [Also in Division A6] Means for forming one or more complete individual indicia, e.g. pictures, numerals or letters, on a receptor sheet comprises one or more transfer sheets, each bearing a pattern on a base sheet with an overlying adhesive layer, the patterns being formed of a plurality of separate discrete components in the manner of a jigsaw puzzle, and the transfer sheet or sheets having thereon registration marks which aid the formation of the complete indicia on the receptor sheet. Fig. 2 is a plan view of a transfer sheet in which a series of numerals are divided into irregular fragments so that the overall configuration is not clear; registration marks aid the user in the transfer of the fragments to a receptor sheet, Fig. 3. An alternative embodiment may involve the provision of a plurality e.g. three, transfer sheets, the pattern being divided into primary colour components. The invention may serve as an educational and/or as a toy or puzzle.
