Abstract
1,200,606. Transformers. SMIT NIJMEGEN ELECTROTECHNISCHE FABRIKEN N.V. 23 Nov., 1967 [5 Dec., 1966], No. 53419/67. Heading H1T. A ferromagnetic transformer core comprises layers of magnetically oriented laminations 5 to 11, insert-pieces 11 being isosceles triangles or trapezia (Fig. 2, not shown), with their bases in the outside surfaces of the core so that they may be easily inserted. Marginal overlaps indicated by dotted lines are obtained by stacking alternately mirror-image layers or sets of layers. Rectangular windows 1 and cooling gaps 2, 3, 4 are described by the lamintions.
