Abstract
120,035. Norsk Hydro - Elektrisk Kvaelstofaktieselskab. Sept. 25, 1917, [Convention date]. Aluminium nitrate is prepared from clay, argillite, or similar minerals by treatment with nitric acid in an autoclave under pressure. The pressure is stated to prevent dissociation at the temperature employed. The silicic acid is said to be obtained in a grainy state, and readily separable by filtration. From the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) it appears that acids (unspecified) could be used in place of nitric acid. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
