1,199,732. Steam reforming catalysts. GAS COUNCIL. 1 Sept., 1967 [7 Sept., 1966], No. 39980/66. Heading B1E. Steam reforming catalysts comprising (1) NiO and/or a precursor therefor, optionally together with elemental nickel; (2) U 3 O 8 and/or UO 3 and/or a precursor for either (3) Al 2 O 3 and/or an alkaline earth metal oxide and (4) an alkali metal compound other than one containing a halogen in a proportion of less than 0.5% expressed as alkali metal based on the whole catalyst, are made by a process which includes the step of depositing the alkali metal compound or precursor on the catalyst carrier prior to the addition of the U and Ni components thereto.
