Abstract

1,199,728. Collapsible crates. ZAMBA CO. Ltd. 9 Oct., 1967 [24 Oct., 1966], No. 47543/66. Heading B8P. [Also in Division F4] A collapsible crate comprises wall panels hinged one to the next, a bottom panel hinged to one of the wall panels, means for supporting the bottom panel in a substantially horizontal position when the crate is opened out for use, and means at the top of the wall panels for supporting a second crate. The wall and bottom panels are made of intersecting wires. As illustrated, the bottom panel supporting means comprises projections 10 at the bottom of the wall panels, and the means for supporting a second crate is provided by hooks 11 and projections 10 at the top of the wall panels. Each wall panel has a frame formed by bars 6, 7 and members 8, 9 of narrower gauge welded thereto. Labelling plates 13, 13a are provided. Means may be provided for locking the bottom panel in its substantially horizontal position. For use as an incinerator the crate may be provided with legs or alternatively the bottom panel may be hinged to the one wall panel at a position above that illustrated.
