Abstract

1,198,646. D.C. motors and dynamotors TOKYO KAGAKU K.K. 5 Sept., 1967 [19 Dec., 1966], No. 40452/67. Heading H2A. A miniature D.C. motor or dynamotor comprises mounted within a magnetic case 1 a rotor 4 having on a common rotary shaft 5 a plurality of magnetic polepieces 6 each carrying at least two windings 7, 8 corresponding windings of each polepiece being connected to a respective commutator 9, 10 having brushes 11, 12 and mounted on the shaft, a stator consisting of a plurality of permanent magnets 3a, 3b each so mounted within the case that one of its poles confronts the polepieces, and a control circuit 13 including an amplifier whose input and output 14, 15 are connected to respective brushes 12, 11 and which maintains within limits the shaft speed substantially constant. The motor is powered by a D.C. source 16, and the brushes 12 in addition to supplying the control circuit may also provide a generator output for, e.g., teaching use. There may be more than two windings 7, 8 and corresponding commutators, and instead of the separate coils shown the windings may be in layers one upon the other, or wound in parallel.
