[Also in Division G2] Di - (m - dodecylozycarbozy) benzaldazine is prepared by heating an alcoholic solution of the dodecyl ester of benzaldehyde carbonic acid, obtained by reacting 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde and chloroformic acid dodecyl ester in pyridine, under reflux with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of glacial acetic acid.
