[Also in Division B2] A vibration damping system comprises a sandwich structure of two plates, e.g. of steel, laminated together with a cured epoxy resin composition obtained by curing at least one glycidyl ether and/or glycidyl amine with at least one polypropylene oxide amine of formula in which X is amino or hydroxyl and at most 50% of the X groups are OH and m is 4 to 32 or a branched polypropylene oxide amine of formula in which X is amino or OH and at most 50% of the X groups are OH, Y 1 , Y 2 and Y 3 are each integers of 1 to 15. The amines I and II may have a M.W. of 350-3000 and may be used as curing agents in conjunction with at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic amine having an amine equivalent of 15 to 60. The epoxy resin may be a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A having an epoxide equivalent of 190-250. Conventional fillers and extenders may be present in the epoxy resin composition.
