Abstract

1,197,402. Valves. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 30 May, 1968 [1 June, 1967], No. 25860/68. Heading F2V. [Also in Division B3] A control spool for an hydraulic change-over valve is made from two identical turned parts 11 each formed with end pistons 14, 15 joined by a bridge 16 over which is pressed a sleeve 12 with chamfers 31, 32. The cylindrical surface of each bridge 16 has bores (22) containing copper solder. The pistons 15 are pressed into a ring 25 under the inclusion of copper solder 24. The assembled spool is soldered, hardened and ground and forms flow-through spaces 26, 27. In another embodiment a turned part has three piston portions joined by bridges over which are pressed sleeves. The central piston and one end piston have a sleeve and larger diameter piston respectively pressed thereon to make the three pistons and the two sleeves the same external diameter. The sleeves are soldered by copper solder inserted into the flow through spaces and penetrating between the sleeves and larger diameter piston and the turned part. The solder may be dispensed with between the bridges and sleeves, the latter merely being pressed on to the bridges.
