Abstract

1,197,073. Circuit assemblies. FERNSEHGERATEWERK STASSFURT, VEB. 25 July, 1967, No. 34035/67. Heading H1R. [Also in Division H3] In a U.H.F. tuner unit comprising a first transistor amplifier and a second transistor self-oscillating mixer the transistors together with the associated circuit components are mounted on an insulating board provided on each surface with a conducting coating and the tuned circuits are formed from strips produced in the coating. An electrically insulating board is provided on each face with an electrically conductive coating on which board is mounted the various components of the tuner in recesses and which coatings serve to form the tuned circuits and interconnecting circuits. The quarter wavelength tuned circuit of the first amplifier 2 comprises a strip conductor 4 in the top conducting coating 12 tuned by a variable capacity diode 7 and this tuned circuit is coupled via impedance 6 with a strip conductor 5 tuned by variable capacity diode 8 which timed circuit is coupled to the input of a selfoscillating mixer transistor 3. The reactance of the conducting layer 12 on the base-plate may be varied by connecting pieces 19, 20 which pass through slots in the base, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown). The oscillator circuit of the transistor 3 comprises a further strip conductor formed in the conductive coating 12 tuned by a variable capacity diode 23 the circuit being coupled to the transistor 3 via capacitor 26. The I.F. circuit of the mixer comprises inductors 27, 28 and capacitors 29, 30 connected on the underside of the base Fig. 3. The setting of the tuning range and frequency is by means of metal strips 31 and connecting pieces 34 in slots in the base. The circuits on the two surfaces of the boards are connected by straps at the edges of the board.
