Abstract

1,095,605. Frequency modulation. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. March 30, 1966 [April 24, 1965], No. 14177/66. Heading H3R. A tuned circuit comprises an inductance 1 in parallel with two capacitance branches 3 and 5, each of the capacitance branches comprising an even number of voltage variable capacitors (e.g. diodes), tuning means being connected to terminal 4 for varying the capacitance of all the capacitors 3 in the first branch and half of those in the second branch 5a, and frequency modulating means are connected to terminal 6 for varying the other half of the capacitors 5b in the second branch. The frequency sweep produced by a given modulating voltage remains substantially the same over the whole range of tuning.
