Abstract

1,196,250. Seats. STOREY BROS & CO. Ltd. 14 Dec., 1967 [15 Dec., 1966], No. 56310/66. Heading A4M. A car seat includes plastics cover sheets 16, 18 over resilient filling 20 in its seat 12 and backrests 14 parts, each cover 16, 18 having a plurality of perforations 58 in communication with a plurality of bellows 56 fitted within the filling 20 whereby air is pumped through the perforations 58 as a result of movements of the user. The cover may be embossed. Each bellows 56 incorporates a coil spring (66, Fig. 3) acting between upper and lower end plates (62, 64), the upper plate (62) having an outlet aperture (68) and the bottom plate (64) having a one way flap valve (72).
