Abstract

119,433. Stewart, C. M. July 9, 1918. Addition to 107,278. Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for.- Relates to improvements in the means for sweeping chimneys described in the parent Specification in which a brush is carried by an endless rope passing over a pulley carried by a bracket secured to the chimney top. The band encircling the chimney is formed in two parts L, M and its size is adjusted by varying 'the position of the bolt N. The bracket is also formed in two parts A, B secured to the band as shown and secured together in an adjustable manner by the bolt H which also supports the pulley. To prevent the endless rope twisting, an 8-shaped guide W is fitted in the chimney.
