[Also in Division D1] Timber is impregnated with an aqueous composition comprising 10-40% of chloroligninsuphonic acid salt, 0.1-2% of hexamethylene tetramine and 0.1-2% of an aminocarboxylic or aminosulphonic acid or the condensation product with an acyl or alkyl sulphonyl halide. The proofed timber may be subsequently treated with dimethylol urea or trimethylol melamine or the methyl or ethyl ether as a 5-70% aqueous solution.
