Abstract

1,192,412. Shearing. H. KLOSTERMANN. [trading as RICHARD RINKER]. 6 Sept., 1967 [13 April, 1967], No. 40817/67. Heading B3W. [Also in Divisions E2 and F3] The housing of an elongate explosive charge 2 having a groove-like recess 3 lined with a metal liner is provided along each of its longitudinal sides with a pivoted support means 6 which can be swung from a retracted position through 180 degrees and locked in a position where it serves to space the charge from an object of large dimensions, e.g. bridges, ships' hulls, steel girders &c., which it is the intention to sever or destroy, the support being locked in this position by a spring-biased catch 10 formed on the housing. The housing is provided with coupling means to string together identical charges.
