1,190,278. Woven labels. BERISFORDS Ltd. 4 Oct., 1968 [21 Oct., 1967], No. 47975/67. Heading D1K. Labels woven in continuous strips have area.s 11 of 7 and 1 sateen weave, into which are woven the identification marks, intersperced with areas 14 of plain weave with substantially less weft density. The areas 14 of lesser weft density provide loosely woven regions which may be easily impaled on the linking needles of a linking machine joining 'together two portions of a knitted garment .so that the label is incorporated in the garment. These may be two such areas 14 per label and other similar areas 19 'may 'be provided to indicate severance lines between individual labels. Other weaves than the 'sateen weave may be utilised.
