Abstract

1,189,785. Improvement in or relating to hospital bed baths. RICHARD J. SCHMIDT CORP. 8 Jan., 1968, No. 1152/68. Heading A4N. A bathing device 10 for use in bathing a person lying on a mattress 66 supported on a bed comprises a pair of mounting brackets 48 spaced at opposite ends of the bed, each of said brackets having a base 50 (not shown) positionable under the mattress, transversely spaced mounting extension 52 connected together by a bridge member and two studs extending longitudinally of the bed when in use; a flexible sheet of water-repellent material 12 having a base 14 (not shown) for resting on mattress and having integral side and end wall portions 16, 18, 20, 22 surrounding the base 14; a pair of poles extending in the channels provided in each of said side wall portions, and the ends of the pole members are connected with the mounting extensions 52 of brackets 48 to support the side wall portions in an upright position.
