A seal for a door or window of a liquefied gas bubble chamber consists of a U-shaped metal section 2 having raised edges 6, 7 channelled to hold sealing rings 14, 15 on the limbs 4, 5 and housing a spring if within its bight 10 for pressing the seals into contact with the door and chamber surfaces. The section 2 is of stainless steel and the spring 11 is of beryllium bronze and spaced by a packing 20 of P.T.F.E. The seals 14, 15 are of indium.
