Abstract
1,188,643. Flower holders. DUNCAN TONG. 11 May, 1967 [5 April, 1966; 20 May, 1966], Nos. 15166/66 and 22711/66. Heading A4U. The stems of artificial flowers are held in a holder 12 by time or heat setting resin or plaster 28. The holder 12 is a hollow frustum having holes (25) through its upper surface for the stems and its lower end is open and stands on expanded plaster material filling the bottom of a vase 14. A grooved plug 16 is inserted through a hole 22 in the bottom of the vase 14 and snaps into one of the holes (25) in the holder; alternatively the holder is held by a wire 26. The plug is also gripped by the resin 28. In a modification (Fig. 2) the holder is detachably secured to the vase by a plug and socket connector (32). In another modification the holder and vase are a one piece plastic moulding (Fig. 4). In a further modification the holder and vase are again integral and a headed plug is pased through a hole in the base of the holder into the plaster (Fig. 5).
