Abstract

1,187,593. Decollating continuous stationery. LAMSON PARAGON Ltd. 4 Aug., 1967 [16 Aug., 1966; 13 March, 1967], Nos. 36653/66 and 11646/67. Heading B8R. In a decollating apparatus, each record web passes from a pack 3 over a driven roller 10 to a platform 7, and a freely rotatable disc 16 is associated with at least one of the rollers 10 to press the web against the roller. The intermediate carbon web, if one is present, is wound upon a spindle 12 comprising two end discs joined by two rods as described in Specification 988,387. A motor 21 drives the rollers 10 and spindle 12 by means of an endless belt 25 passing around pulleys on the ends of the parts 10, 12. The pulley on one of the rollers 10 comprises two parts (Fig. 4, not shown) axially adjustable so as to adjust its effective diameter and thus vary the roller speed. Each disc 16 is rubbertyred and rests on the centre of its roller. Levers 17 carry the discs 16 and are pivoted to a lever 18 which can be turned in a clockwise direction to remove the discs from the rollers. If one of the record webs is of heavier weight than the other, both discs 16 can be placed in contact with that web.
