Abstract

1,187,313. Marking device. T. H. G. OUDENHOVEN. 20 May, 1968 [24 May, 1967], No. 23823/68. Heading B8F. A marking device, e.g. for the identification of animals, comprises two elliptically-shaped plate elements 1, 2 made of a plastics material, one plate being formed with a centrally extending dowel lc terminated by an enlarged lanceolated portion 1d which is inserted through and secured by a centrally situated orifice 2a1 in the other plate, the orifice being of substantially the same diameter as the dowel and having a pair of diametrically opposed slots 2b, 2c. The base 1e of the lanceolated portion is planar and ogival in shape and the edges of the plates 1a, 2a are chamfered.
