Abstract
1,187,158. Radio-active products. NUCLEAR RADIATION DEVELOPMENTS Inc. 6 May, 1968 [19 July, 1967], No. 21341/68. Heading G6R. A radio-active product comprises a radio. active core plated with a protective layer of an alloy of gold with from 0À1-25% by weight of Co, Cd, Ni, Cu, or Ag. A radio-active foil is made by mixing or co-precipitating a radioactive salt and gold powder, compressing and rolling the mixture into a thin sheet, coating on each side with a gold or platinum sealing layer, attaching a backing layer of silver, gold, or platinum, and then plating with the gold alloy.
