Abstract

1332637 Seals EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY 3 Feb 1972 [8 Feb 1971] 5086/72 Heading B6P A security seal comprises a base material containing randomly distributed particles of a plurality of different foreign substances so that the identity of the seal or damage to it can be established by X-ray fluorescence measuring apparatus or an isotope source. The seal may be made in halves made of aluminium, steel, zirconium or a plastics, with iron, niobium, copper, nickel, zirconium, tungsten lead, silver or tin particles, the halves being irreversibly joined by a frangible connection 4.
