Abstract

A strip member for securing and supporting cables, wires, tubes and pipes comprises a flexible metal strip 1 having a plurality of holes 2 substantially equally spaced along its length and a sheath 3 covering the strip and filling the holes through which fastening means can readily be driven. In the construction described the holes 2 are square and the sheath is made either of a plastics material or a natural or synthetic rubber and the strip member is used by bending it to any desired shape to engage the cables, wires, tubes or pipes and forcing screws or spikes through the sheath over appropriate holes into a support. The sheath may have a convex curvature on the side which is intended to engage the support and a concave curvature on the other side.
