Abstract

1,184,407. Glucose oxidase. BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM G.m.b.H. 18 Nov., 1968 [20 Nov., 1967], No.54669/68. Heading C3H. Pure glucose oxidase is recovered by adjusting the pH of an aqueous solution of impure glucose oxidase to 6À5-7À5 and while maintaining the temperature between 15‹ C. and 25‹ C. adding methanol to a concentration of 58-62% by volume and separating the precipitate. The glucose oxidase may be that produced by Penicillium notatum or Aspergillus niger. The precipitate may be mixed with a filter acid, filtered off, and extracted with water, and the aqueous extract vacuumconcentrated and lyophilized.
