Abstract
118,054. Reddaway & Co., F., and Muskett, J. Jan. 30, 1918. Rollers. - In rubber - covered rollers of the kind described in Specifications 2606/15 a n d 15001/15, wherein a metal core a is provided with a spiral winding of rubber tubing under fluid pressure, a wrapping c of canvas vulcanized to a rubber sleeve d being provided, the rubber tubing b is substantially square in cross-section having an arched roof, incurved sides, and a concave bottom, the bore coinciding with this shape. The ends of the canvas care secured by the double tapered ring f, the tapered collar e on the mandrel, and the clamping-ring h, a separate loose tapered ring g being provided to prevent injury to the end of the canvas when screwing home the clamping-ring.
