Abstract

1,178,692. Supporting gramophone pick-ups. GARRARD ENG. Ltd. 21 March, 1967 [21 March, 1966], No. 12350/66. Heading G5R. A counterbalance weight 2 is suspended on a pick-up arm 6 on the side remote from the stylus by means of a resilient bag 1 provided with supporting tongues 7. The bag may be replaced by two or more resilient straps. The bag is suspended by means of tongues 7 from brackets 3, 4 on a casting 5 which may be moved along the pick-up arm 6 to adjust the position of the bag 1. A rotatable rubber bush 10 is mounted on bracket 3 to impart a frictional drive between the casting 5 and the pick-up arm when rotated by a knurled drive wheel 8.
