Abstract

1,178,361. Metal resistor. SQUARE D CO. 4 Jan., 1968 [17 March, 1967], No. 617/68. Heading HIS. Adjacent legs 15, 16 of a sheet-metal, e.g. stainless steel, resistor, have embossments 24, 25 narrow in relation to the width of the legs, and in opposite directions relative to the plane of the resistor. The ends of the embossments may incline, as at 26, towards the regions 18 connecting the legs, but a part of each such region is left plane. The end legs are connected through inclined portions 21, 22 to terminal portions 11, 12 oppositely displaced from the plane of the resistor. Fixing holes 14, 14a may be provided.
