A ceramic dielectric consists of, in molar per cent, CaO 14À1 to 39À3; SiO2 14À1 to 39À2; PbO 0À3 to 0À8 and TiO2 23À0 to 71À4. The CaO and SiO2 can be replaced by an equivalent amount of CaSiO3, and precursors for the oxides can be employed.
