Abstract
1,177,435. Control of motors. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK PLANETA VEB. 23 April, 1968, No. 19164/68. Heading H2J. When a printing machine is ready to start, switches 1 and 2 transmit signals to AND gate 3 and store 4, the L-signal being passed on to AND gate 6 and to store 9. The latter stores the L-signal only, for example, when pressure has been applied in a printing mechanism, and thus a signal has passed through OR gate 12 from one or more of the switches 10, 11, to negater 13. This unit transmits an O-signal to the store 9 so that the L-signal is not erased but is transmitted to a negater 14 which passes an O-signal through AND-gate 15 to negater 20. The latter applies the L-signal to the gate 6 which is now opened to energize a member 8 for increasing the speed of the printing machine. When a predetermined speed is reached, a switch 5 erases the L-signal in the store 4 whereby the member 8 is de-energized. At the same time, the gate 6 transmits the O-signal through negater 19 to gate 15 which also receives the L-signal from switch 16 at increased speeds. When the last sheet runs through the machine, switch 10 or 11 is opened and the O-signal is transmitted through gate 12 to negater 13 which erases the stored L-signal in the unit 9. The O-signal is then passed through negater 14 to the gate 15. The latter now opens to energize member 18 for initiating a reduction in speed. At a low speed, switch 16 opens to close gate 15 and terminate the speed reduction.
