Abstract

1,176,831. Control of A.C. motors. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO MECANIQUE. 8 March, 1967 [10 March, 1966], No. 10831/67. Heading H2J. [Also in Division H1] In an automatic starting device for an asynchronous motor, resistive elements 2, Fig. 2, associated with each phase are disposed in spaced relationship around a rotary member 1 mounted on the motor shaft and are shortcircuited at a predetermined speed by centrifugally actuated switches 3 disposed in casings spaced around the member 1. The casings may be sealed against dust and covered with insulating material. The resistive elements 2 are wire wound over refractory insulants 16 fitted to radially disposed sheet metal plates 15 and mounted between flanges of the support 1. Fuses 7 are mounted adjacent to and in circuit with each resistive element 2.
