A garment fastener adjustable along a strap 29 passed through slots 18 and 21 in a frame 11 has a plastics retaining member 13 with a grooved thickened end portion rotatably engaging an end bar 19 of the frame 11 to clamp the strap against one side of the a bar 20 separating the slots by means of a projection 34. The frame has a keyhole slot which is engageable with a button 26 on a tab secured to a bar 23 on the frame 11. Alternatively the frame comprises a buckle slidable on the strap a fixed length of which is attached to the bar 23.
