In an electronic timepiece having a mechanical oscillating regulator sustained by electrical pulses in a transducer originated as signals induced in a pick-up coil and amplified by a transistor circuit, the transistor 3 receives a control signal through a circuit including a source of electric current (having terminals 1, 2), a pickup coil 7, and an impedance 11 which is variable as a function of temperature in such manner that variations of environmental temperature are reproduced as variations in the widths of the sustaining pulses, whereby the effects of said variations of environmental temperature on the frequency of the oscillating regulator are at least partially compensated. The impedance 11 may consist of a thermistor or a thermistat circuit and it is located in series with a capacitor 5, in any of a number of alternative positions, to determine the maximum voltage to which the capacitor 5 is charged by the sustaining pulses, and thereby the duration of the discharge of the capacitor 5 through a resistor 6 which determines the interval between pulses and thereby the length of the pulses.
